I call what I do a "Business and GROWTH opportunity" because that is exactly what it is. In most Home Based businesses you will GROW and become a better person.

I am an Independant Consultant with Cookie Lee Jewelry. I am in no way trying to persuade you to do what I do. In fact, I believe there is more than one way to climb the mountain. And through this thing we call life, you WILL find exactly what YOU need!

So let me tell you a bit about why I joined and what I needed to join to HELP YOU in any decisions you might have regarding a home based business opportunity of ANY kind....not just the Cookie Lee business opportunity.

I joined June 2008, my husband was laid off and disabled - a double whammy! I had undergone many surgeries for a torn this and a damaged that and I am no young whipper snapper so I had to think about earning extra money in a way I could handle. Here is a list of the requirements I had before I even talked with anyone.

Requirements:
1. At least 50% earnings no matter how much I sell - in other words no quotas.
2. Light weight items. Nothing heavy or bulky.
3. Good, affordable prices - the economy is in bad shape and no one can afford expensive stuff.
4. Excellent Comp Plan with Bonuses!
5. Guaranteed items from the company. Replacement, repair or credit.
6. GREAT training available, with depth as well as free.
7. Successful, smart leaders. Leaders that want you to succeed more than they want
     their own success!
8. An up-line that is AVAILABLE!
9. Dental, Vision, Life and Health insurance.
10. Outstanding reputation and product.

So that is my short list. I had a VERY long list of requirements because I have been involved with home-based Direct Sales companies and without certain ingredients the batter is just wrong. I investigated Cookie Lee Jewelry for 6 months before even giving my name and number to anyone. 

Many, many people say, "I can't sell!" or "I don't want to sell!".  Did you know that WE ALL SELL EACH AND EVERY SECOND OF EACH AND EVERY DAY?  Its true!  You sell yourself to your husband or wife, to your kids, to your parents, friends and family.  You sell yourself to teachers, doctors, grocery store people...everywhere we go and come into contact with people we ARE SELLING OURSELVES.  Now if sell ourselves good or bad that is up to each of us!  We also sell ourselves to OURSELVES!  Yes its true.  And when we are having an EXCELLENT day its because we have sold ourselves WELL! 

Ponder that and REALIZE that you CAN SELL and you actually do sell each and every day. 

Whatever company you look at make sure you can EARN 50% PROFIT!  There are some out there, not many - find them. 
Find a product that you love and that other people love. Find a product that is light-weight and something you can wear or display easily. If you can wear it you will be your own walking advertisement.
The other very IMPORTANT point (well they are all vital but I really like this one) is finding a Company that has GREAT on-line training and resources available.  It is CRITICAL that you find a Company that OFFERS Training that is FLEXIBLE and free!  We don't always want to sit in a class or do on-line training or read from a manual or book - we are creatures that thrive on VARIETY!  Make sure your company has variety.  Ask to go to their meeting!  You need meetings with DEPTH! I have been to many many meetings over the course of my life - and I'm sure you have too, where you sit there and think to yourself   "Why the heck am I here? This is such a waste of my time.  I could do better than this."  You must find a company that provides meetings with DEPTH!  I want meetings that give me so much information I cannot possibly write it all down!  I want the ideas to bubble and flow limitlessly!  I want my up-line to want ME to SUCCEED more than they want themselves to succeed! 

In other words - MAKE a LIST and make sure whatever Direct Sells home-based business you join has each and every thing you NEED and WANT.
 
Don't settle for anything less.  YOU deserve it!
